Trikem's Muscle Maker is a Swedish-made protein supplement for horses that need to build and maintain muscle mass. Muscle Maker is filled with highly concentrated, quality protein from spirulina and valuable amino acids in the form of BCAA.
Why spirulina?
Spirulina is a microalgae with a naturally high protein content. Spirulina not only contains a high proportion of protein but also a high proportion of quality proteins in the form of essential amino acids. Essential amino acids must be supplied to the horse via the feed and are necessary for the body to be able to take care of the protein the horse eats. Spirulina is also full of nutrients and an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and GLA (omega-6).
Good for the stomach
Research has shown that spirulina possesses prebiotic effects. A good intestinal flora affects the whole horse and contributes, among other things, to optimal nutrient absorption, which is crucial for muscle building.
Why BCAA?
BCAA are branched chain amino acids. It is a special type of essential amino acids (degraded protein) that the horse's body cannot produce itself, but which must be supplied via the feed. BCAA is special in the way that while other protein first needs to be broken down, BCAA is taken up by the body without being broken down. This means that the body can immediately start the process of building muscle mass. BCAA acts as a catalyst for muscle building.

Muscle Maker is an excellent supplement to give to the horse that needs to build muscle, needs extra support to maintain muscle mass, during periods of extra hard load or during the build-up period. It can be given as a daily supplement or as a regimen during intensive periods or during convalescence and start-up after extended rest.
